Bibliography
It is essential when writing assignments to acknowledge the source of the material that you use from other people's work. It is also important that you use a consistent style and format for the presentation of references and bibliographies when writing an essay or report.
The bibliography or alphabetical list of references (at the end of the text) of the Harvard system uses the following format:
1. Author's surname, then initials. (full stop)
2. Year of publication, in brackets. (full stop)
3. Title, underlined or in italics. (full stop)
4. Place of publication: (colon)
5. Publisher. (full stop)
Sort the bibliography in alphabetical order of author. For textual readability, leave a blank line after each reference.
